Unibet Poker MTT Schedule - The Galactic Adventure BeginsOctober 03 2017 03 Oct 2017 3 min. read
After sharing their new, unofficial MTT schedule a couple of weeks ago within the poker community first, Unibet has finally unveiled the news to the world.
Starting this week, Unibet Poker is completely revamping their MTT schedule with new tournaments and new formats.
Poker players and affiliates are already buzzing to see how all this will turn out. Especially because the new schedule is introduced along with bringing back the crowd favorite, Moving On Up promotion. In October, Moving On Up will be giving away €4, €10 and €25 cash tickets for playing MTTs on separate days of the week.
New Tournaments with Sunday Majors
Starting this week, Unibet Poker features 6 new, Galaxy-themed tournaments starting at €4 buy-in.
What’s more exciting is that Unibet finally joins the battle for the attention of the Sunday night poker grinder by introducing their own version of a Sunday Major MTT - €20,000 GTD Supernova.
Here is the new schedule, kicking off Monday, 2 October:
|Start Time (CEST)||Title||Buy-in||Prizepool||Starting stack||Blinds||Format|
|17:00||Cosmic Rays||€10||€5,000||3,000||8||Unlimited Rebuys|
|18:00||Ice Giant||€25||€5,000||10,000||10||Progressive Bounty|
No one can deny that Unibet has been one of the most consistent brands in poker for the last 3 years, since the release of their proprietary online poker client.
They have kept on building their poker experience, listening closely to players’ feedback. As a result, they have achieved the incredible - in a shrinking poker market they managed to record 20% - 30% growth on a year-to-year basis. Not to mention three ‘Poker Innovation of The Year” awards at eGR.
David Pomroy, Head of Poker at Unibet admitted that a new MTT schedule was coming for a while but it was better to not rush it:
As tournament players ourselves, we’ve been planning to overhaul our MTT schedule for a while but wanted to focus on software improvements first. The client is in great shape now and so it’s time we gave MTT players at Unibet and beyond something to shout about.
Pomroy also added that they will keep listening to feedback and adjust whatever is necessary to keep their players happy.
Changes in Satellite Format
Unibet has been famous for its flagship poker tour, Unibet Open as well as many additional live poker opportunities. Namely, the UK Poker Tour and the Deepstacks Poker Tour.
Chances are many of your players will be happy to hear that from now on, smaller buy-in satellites will be pooled together. Meaning that €1, €4 and €10 buy-in qualifiers will be played under a generic name before separating into Unibet Open, UK Poker Tour, etc. finals.
This no doubt will result in bigger and more exciting satellites that any player will love.
